Activate

If there is something that really gets under my skin, it’s “waste”. Wasted food, wasted materials, wasted time… you name it. The only thing that I probably couldn’t say is a waste, as a professional organiser, is space; because Space is what I aim to create and maintain. The more, the better!

As sentient beings, I would say that for us humans, a wasted life is probably the biggest waste there could be. When our lives are something we are innately responsible for, then it’s got to be our most protected resource that we simply can’t let go to waste.

I’ve been loving the word “Activate” lately. To “activate” something implies that there exists an energy or resource that is lying dormant. And what better resource to Activate than our own infinite potential?

It’s a wonderful place to be when one recognises that life doesn’t have to be about chasing after something we don’t yet have. That’s a mindset of scarcity; a mindset that I am out to war against, because it’s one of the self-limiting beliefs that amplifies the hoarder within. Whereas, to “activate” oneself is to live from a place of limitless potential.

To live an Activated life is to declare:

  • I am already capable of…
  • I already have it in me to…
  • I am already resourced to…

It is saying: I CHOOSE to be switched on.

It is actively living in the present with power, not dreaming of a future state. It is waking up from sleep.

Sleep is an interesting thing. It’s been said that sleep is an escape route that the depressed or fearful take when they want to avoid life.

Could it be that when we live an un-activated life, we are trying to pull the sheets over our head and telling life to please go away because it’s all too hard? Are we holding on to our physical and emotional clutter because it keeps us cosy in our psychological bed of avoidance? Are we holding on to sickness because it means we can stay in the hospital bed, safe from the big bad world?

Friends, let’s not waste another precious second of our lives. Let’s live an Activated life. Push that green button and let’s get moving.

#Reset your beliefs about what you are capable of.

#Release yourself to wake up and live an activated life.

My June goal: Jog. Every day.
